A motorcycle officer was injured Monday during a collision with a vehicle in a residential neighborhood. The officer, who was responding to a report of a bicyclist down in the 2400 block of Palos Verdes Drive, was struck by a resident in the 600 block of the road as she pulled out of her driveway, according to the Palos Verdes Police Department. Authorities said 17 people were detained near Palos Verdes Estates after a panga boat was spotted off the coast Friday morning. Around 8 a.m., authorities were alerted to a group of people in a boat near Rocky Point Road, according to reports.
